No Bandwagons Falling

Covid taught us many things

How to bring everything to a halt

From home

How to safely distance

From those who would harm

How to remove ourselves

From toxic situations

And heal quietly

Powerfully

In meditation

Anger drives one from shelter

Shouting targets gather

In one day one week

The world could change

Refuse

Garbage

Leaving bandwagons unattended

Circled around the fire

Who would force us from homes

To do jobs overworked and underpaid

No leader

Nothing to fear

While we make soup and bread

And dine on ethics

Not a truth perhaps

Nor a strategy

Gone to ground

Until the world shifts

Mutual aid and cooperation

Widespread restitution

Commitment to taking care

Of each other

Could begin anytime

Anywhere

Anynow
