Music in my feet
Each movement syncopated
Sparks in eyes wide open
Twirling around the floor
Lights are flashing colors
The backbeat dropping candy
Rise above the noise
Rhythm flowing through me
A river graced and banked
Past and future touched
The night
Clap
The beginning just begun

I once thought that dancing and loud music wasn’t my scene, but now I appreciate dancing with strangers. This poem captures that feeling. Lovely work.
Thank you! I love dancing, alone or with people – I think it resets something in our spirit. I’m glad you can appreciate dancing out with people now! 🙂
Great inspiration to start a weekend! Inspiring words…
Thank you, Doug! Hope you have a lovely weekend!
